The Ontario woman accused of playing a role in the murder of her own mother pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Wayne County Court this week.
Julie Martin, of Ontario was found dead – and her 22-year-old daughter, Jasmine Harlee, was accused of planning her mother’s death.
According to authorities, Harlee enlisted the help of three others to plot out a $30,000 life insurance scheme that included killing her mother.
Harlee is expected to be sentenced in August. However, the three other individuals facing charges are still going through trial proceedings.
