SEARCH FOR DRIVER: Officials believe victim of Canandaigua hit-and-run was struck intentionally

State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle and driver involved in a hit-and-run in Canandaigua on Saturday.

The incident happened around 9:30 am when the vehicle was traveling north on Brickyard Road and struck a 24-year-old bicyclist.

Officials strongly believe the car hit the bicyclist intentionally. However, that detail is unconfirmed.

The bicyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to make a recovery.

The vehicle in question is believed to be a light colored grey four door sedan with rear-end damage with possible red paint transfer from the bike.

Witnesses say the vehicle may have had a yellow sticker on its rear.

Anyone with information should call (585) 398-4100.
