The village has a long history of seeking and receiving federal Community Development Block Grant funding over the past few decades.
That will continue at Monday night’s Village Board meeting.
The board will conduct a series of public hearings starting at 7 p.m., including:
• In 2016, the village was awarded CDBG grants of $650,000 to assist the operations of Deep Dairy Co. at 61 Swift St.; a $200,000 in Microenterprise Assistance Program (MAP) funding for small business expansion and upgrades; $500,00 for housing rehabilitation for low to middle income homeowners; and $50,000 for a downtown market analysis study.
The village is required to conduct a public hearing during the grant implementation period to provide details on those four programs, report on their progress, solicit comments on those activities and answer questions.
