No decision was made Thursday regarding the case brought by a Red Creek parent challenging Section V’s lack of an appeals process for athletes who are ejected from games. But state Supreme Court Justice J. Scott Odorisi made it very clear he thinks the Hall of Justice is no place for high school sports.
Odorisi said he will issue a ruling in writing on June 22. In addition to calling into question from “procedural defects” of the original filing of an injunction in state Supreme Court — which was granted by Justice Victoria Argento, not Odorisi — Odorisi said Thursday he was “reluctant to get involved” in Section V rule interpretations.
