One airlifted from motorcycle-car accident in Sodus on Memorial Day

Investigators say no tickets had yet been issued after a motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital late-Monday evening.

The accident took place at the intersection of Ridge Road and State Route 88 when a car – operated by 17-year-old Rachel M. Seaman, of Williamson – turned into the path of a motorcycle – operated by 41-year-old Allan J. Ludolph.

Investigators say the Williamson teen failed to see the motorcyclist while making the turn – and passed in front of the bike. Both of the vehicles collided – and Ludolph was thrown from the motorcycle.

Seaman was also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital as a precaution, according to deputies.

The investigation into the accident remains active.

Deputies were assisted by the Sodus Fire Department and Williamson Ambulance.
