Deputies say a 32-year-old Canandaigua man was taken into custody on Memorial Day after a police pursuit in the city of Geneva.
Around 12:10 a.m. on County Road 4 in the Town of Seneca deputies engaged in a vehicle pursuit involving a 2007 Toyota Camry. That vehicle was operated by Nathan F. Tripodi, 32, which traveled through several streets into the city before finally ending on Prospect Avenue.
When the vehicle pursuit ended, deputies say that Tripodi fled on foot where he was apprehended by members of the Geneva Police Department.
He was charged with unlawfully fleeing a police officer, failure to comply, reckless driving, speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, passing a red light, aggravated unlicensed operation, and several other vehicle and traffic infractions.
Deputies say Tripodi is being held at the Ontario County Jail and that he will answer charges in Seneca Town Court, Geneva Town Court and Geneva City Court.
