Auburn’s Majorpalooza block party raises more than $15,000

What began as a backyard party about 20 years ago has transformed into a downtown Auburn block party which raises up to $20,000 for the community.

Families, friends and pets gathered on Genesee Street on Sunday to enjoy the Majorpaolooza festivities including live music, food trucks, children’s activities and other vendors as well as community partners.

Around noon, dozens of people congregated to listen while Perform4Purpose played on the stage set up near State Street. Children in the crowd had toys, treats and balloon creations in hand.
