If there was a team in the Section V Class AA Baseball Tournament likely to keep swinging after building a big lead, it was the Victor Blue Devils.
Victor fell out of the 2017 sectionals after a large lead slipped away. There was no slippage for the Blue Devils during this year’s semifinals.
The Blue Devils made sure of that, scoring eight runs in the bottom of the first inning, as they finished with 19 hits during a 15-2 win Thursday over Webster Schroeder.
