Police say a Penn Yan woman was arrested after an investigation into stolen kayaks, which came up missing last month.
Police say Brianna Andrews, of Penn Yan is accused of stealing kayaks, which went missing on April 23rd. She allegedly took the two L.L. Bean kayaks from the edge of property on Sherman Street, which had been left there by their owners.
The owners were returning home temporarily to get a vehicle to transport the kayaks.
Andrews hid the kayaks under a large tarp, according to police. She was charged with petit larceny.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
