Penn Yan man charged with felony contempt after domestic incident

Police in Penn Yan were called to a domestic incident in progress on Monday around 5:10 p.m., and charged a Hamilton Street resident with felony contempt.

Joshua T. Robinson, 35, of Penn Yan was charged with second-degree harassment and first-degree criminal contempt after violating a Yates County Family Court Order of Protection.



Police say he violated an order of protection by harassing a protected party. The victim was physically restrained by Robinson.

He was arrested and charged in Penn Yan Village Court.

The charges will be answered at a later date. Police say Robinson is being held at the Yates County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
