Rose woman charged with DWI after crashing into mailbox on Rt. 414

Deputies arrested a Rose woman following a crash into a ditch on State Route 414 in Galen.

Shannelle C. Patton, 22, of Rose was traveling north on State Route 414 in Galen when her vehicle left the roadway — striking a mailbox — coming to rest in a ditch.

Upon investigation it was determined that Patton was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition. She was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office where she voluntarily submitted to a chemical breath test.

Deputies say Patton’s BAC was found to be 0.16 percent; and was subsequently arrested for driving while intixociated, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane.

The charges will be answered at a later date.
