Below is a the monthly report from Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce on reported crimes and calls for service in April.

LAW ENFORCEMENT:

Total Calls For Service: 1094

Total Arrests: 68

NARCOTICS:

Total new drug cases: 11

Total arrests: 7

CORRECTIONS:

Average Number of Inmates: 83

Monthly Total Made for Boarding In: $35,744.74; Yearly Total: $139,073.68

CIVIL:

Total Summons/Complaints/Services: 42

Total Income Executions: 45

Total Evictions: 3

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE MONTH:

April 4th: Deputies apprehended 2 subjects stealing anhydrous ammonia from a local farm in Ovid to aid in manufacturing methamphetamine..

April 5th: Investigators charged 2 subjects that were using “skimming” devices to steal credit card information. The investigation is continuing.

April 7th: Deputies discovered a subject in possession of cocaine during a traffic stop in Ovid.

April 19th: Investigations arrested a subject for a burglary in the Town of Junius.

April 20th: The Sheriff’s Office Corrections Officer Academy concluded. 28 Officers from 6 Counties attended.

April 23rd: Deputies responded to a house fire and explosion in Border City. The case is still under investigation.

April 25th: NARCO arrested a subject in Romulus after intercepting 25 pounds of marijuana and 2 1/2 pounds of hashish.
