The Penn Yan Police Department is crediting one of their officers with saving the life of an overdose victim after responding to an ‘unconscious’ male on the ground this week.
A needle was located near the victim, who had two doses of naloxone administered to him. Officer Brad Conover is credited with saving the victim’s life by administering two doses of naloxone.
It’s the second time in less than a week that officers were successful in utilizing the drug to save an overdose victim’s life. Over the weekend, Officer Chisom was credited with saving the life of an overdose victim after responding to a call in the village.
Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
