An Auburn man was arrested on felony charges after he was found to have had a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit on Tuesday, according to police.
Matthew T. Mcauliffe, 29, was stopped by state police on Genesee Street Road in Sennett for moving from his lane unsafely and not having a driver side mirror on his car. Police say he failed several field sobriety tests.
Further investigation determined that Mcauliffe’s BAC was 0.21 percent. He was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated and felony driving while intoxicated due to having a conviction in the last decade. He was also arrested on a felony aggravated driving while intoxicated charge.
He was arraigned in Owasco Town Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail.
