Vehicle crashes into celebrated statue in Geneva

A car crashed into the ‘Peace’ statue in Geneva.

The stone statue in the form of a bare-breasted woman facing east toward Seneca Lake, her official name is ‘Peace’, but known locally as Lady of the Lake.



She is located in the center of a stone fountain dedicated in memory of the veterans of Civil War, the Spanish-American War, and World War I.

Officials haven’t updated media on the condition of the driver. The fountain is located at the end of Washington Street.
