Firefighters were called to a home explosion in Port Gibson on Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses said they heard an explosion around 12:30 p.m. at a home along Rt. 31 near Hanley Road.
Police say at least two families lived inside the home; and that one family dog died in the fire. No one was at home at the time of the fire, or reported explosion.
