The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a 27-year-old Red Creek man following an investigation into a hit-and-run.
Matthew Loveall, 27, of Red Creek is said to have crashed into Fat Frankie’s Pizzeria on Main Street. He then drove off, causing damage to the building and the vehicle. Deputies located and stopped the vehicle a short distance away.
Loveall was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated. His BAC was found to be 0.22 percent. He will answer the charges in Wolcott Town Court at a later date.
It doesn’t appear the building sustained enough damage to require it closing.
