Several counterfeit $100 bills have been passed at multiple area businesses, the Auburn Police Department said Thursday.
The APD is currently conducting multiple investigations into the bills with the serial number LGQ03229158, according to a press release. The department is asking that banks, businesses and consumers be on the lookout for the above mentioned counterfeit bills.
“If you encounter a suspicious or counterfeit piece of currency, please retain the currency, get a description of the person(s) passing it and contact your local law enforcement agency,” police said.
