When former Geneva City Manager Matt Horn announced his exit from the community he served for a decade – many felt that it could mean difficult times for the City of Geneva. During his tenure, Horn morphed into a figure that was seen regionally as a bustling leader, an example of modern, young leadership. While his qualifications did not align directly with a typical candidate, those who chose him a decade prior did so because of the intangibles he brought to the table.
Given just a couple months to determine their course of action, the City of Geneva ultimately moved to a ‘Search Committee’ comprising of those interested in helping shape the selection process.
