For most of April, the Mets received little production from their starting outfield trio of Yoenis Cespedes, Michael Conforto and Jay Bruce. They felt it was only a matter of time before that group broke out.
Perhaps Tuesday marked the start of it. Cespedes hit a 463-foot, game-tying homer, and Bruce hit a game-winning solo home run in the 10th inning of a 6-5 Mets win over the Cardinals at Busch Stadium.
