It’s the biggest field of candidates in recent memory.
School district voters will have 10 people to choose from for three seats on the nine-member school board when they go to the polls May 15.
The three-year terms of incumbents Ellen Hughes and Charles Bronson expire this year; both are seeking re-election. A third spot is open because Kathleen Oldfield passed away Dec. 6, 2017.
In addition to Hughes and Bronson, Robert Dwello, Eileen Temple, Steve Speno, Colleen Smith, Erin Brown, Tiffany Folk, Michael Hayden and Tiffany Pigman have filed the required nominating petitions to appear on the ballot.
Speno is a former board member. Temple is the district’s former transportation supervisor.
