Two charged, third sought by police after armed robbery in Geneva

On Monday at approximately 4:42 p.m. police responded to the area of Castle and Pulteney streets for a reported robbery.

The Geneva Police Department reports that a handgun was displayed during the robbery. It was determined upon investigation that the suspects and victim knew each other.

Following a brief foot chase, Julius Ware, 21, of Geneva was taken into custody and charged with second-degree robbery.

Further investigation led to the arrest of Gage Leach, 22, of Geneva was also charged with second-degree robbery.

Police say Roy “RJ” Stedge, 23, is also wanted for questioning by police in relation to this investigation.

The Geneva Police Department says the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and the DEC all assisted with the investigation.

Police say Ware is being held on $10,000 bail or $20,000 secured bond, and Leach is being held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.
