Katko for Congress opens 2018 by raising $266K, has $1.24M for re-election bid

U.S. Rep. John Katko added to his hefty campaign war chest in the first fundraising quarter of 2018.

Katko, R-Camillus, raised $266,648.34 from Jan. 1 through March 31, according to a quarterly filing submitted to the Federal Election Commission. His campaign closed the first quarter with $1,247,942.22 in the bank.

The fundraising haul should give Katko a huge advantage over his two potential Democratic opponents in the 24th Congressional District race.
