Christopher Folk of Waterloo has been appointed second assistant county attorney in Seneca County.
His appointment was announced Friday by County Attorney Frank Fisher.
The position has been vacant since 2003. Fisher recently received approval from the Board of Supervisors to fill the position. Folk is currently the Waterloo town justice, a position he will retain.
“I am pleased to announce that Christopher Folk has accepted my offer of the position of second assistant county attorney to start Monday,’’ Fisher said.
“He comes to us with a wide-ranging field of experience and education. I anticipate he will be kept busy in the Family Court area, as well as municipal law and becoming familiar with various issues currently facing the county,’’ Fisher said.
