Mets homer 3 times, rally to make club history at 9-1 start

The Mets rallied behind a pair of Asdrubal Cabrera home runs and capitalized on a ninth-inning error. Yoenis Cespedes made Miami pay for the mistake with a two-run double that lifted New York to an 8-6 victory at Marlins Park.

Now 9-1, the Mets are off to their best start in franchise history, as they’ve won seven straight. With the game tied at 6 in the ninth, Amed Rosario reached on third baseman Brian Anderson’s throwing error with one out. Two batters later, Cespedes snuck a double down the third-base line off Brad Ziegler, plating two, and giving the Mets a series win.
