Auburn man charged with DWI in Mentz

On Sunday a 35-year-old Auburn man was arrested for driving while intoxiated after a traffic stop in Mentz.

William R. Garrigan III, 35, of Auburn was charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC greater than 0.08 percent and moving from lane unsafely.



Garrigan was stopped in the Town of Mentz for moving from lane unsafely. He was placed under arrest after failing multiple standard field sobriety tests, according to state police.

He was transported to State Police Auburn HQ where he provided a breath sample of 0.12 percent. Garrigan was issued uniform traffic tickets returnable to Mentz Town Court on April 23rd.
