Sherwin died March 30 in Brighton at the age of 85. Graveside services were April 4 in Britton Road Cemetery. Donations in his name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
Sherwin’s voice could be heard on home and car radios every morning back when WGVA was basically the only radio station in town — before FM stations began popping up.
