More wind? It’s in the forecast on Friday, but it won’t be nearly as strong as it was on Wednesday.
Lakeshore Flood Warnings are active for Wayne and Northern Cayuga County, and Wind Advisories are active for most of the Western Finger Lakes. You can find out more about all of the active warnings and advisories here.
On top of that, rain and snow showers will be likely on Friday for the region. It won’t mean much on the accumulation side, but it will be enough to make it feel like late-winter, and not spring. FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil said in an update, “Top gusts for most areas should be in the 35-45 mph range, but higher elevations and the Buffalo-Rochester corridor could see gusts to 50 mph.”
The weekend will be colder-than-normal, but will fall right in line with what the region has seen over the last several weeks. Temperatures are expected to warm-up by late-next week, but until then – it will stay ‘below normal’.
