Macedon PD: Stay ‘vigilant’ after teen assaulted while jogging; suspects at-large

Police are asking for the public to be vigilant after a teenager was assaulted by the driver of a suspicious vehicle on Thursday.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Eddy Road near Route 350.

Police say the 14-year-old was jogging when a van pulled up next to her, and someone inside asked for directions. At that point, when the teen approached the van, an individual got out, grabbed her arm and punched her in the face.

The 14-year-old was able to punch the suspect and run from the area.

The minivan has been described as a dark red, or maroon late-90’s model. The driver was said to be a woman in her mid-40s with a bob haircut and blue shirt. The second person is also thought to be a woman, but a description was not available.
