A 49-year-old Canandaigua man was arrested on Saturday around 12:31 a.m. after a violent incident involving an unidentified female victim.
Police say James McFadden, 49, was charged with third-degree assault after allegedly punching a female in the face several times — causing injury to the victim.
McFadden was being held at the Ontario County Jail, according to police.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
