Sheriff Tim Luce says a 23-year-old former Seneca Falls resident was arrested on Friday following a welfare fraud investigation.
Natalie R. Staie, 23, formerly of Seneca Falls is accused of unlawfully receiving monetary benefits from Seneca County.
She was charged with three felony counts of first-degree offering a false instrument for filing. Staie was also charged with fourth-degree welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps.
She was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges at a later date.
