A manager at Six60 restaurant in Victor was arrested after an investigation into thousands of dollars stolen via debit card chargebacks.

James Demetreau, 38, is accused of stealing upwards of $6,000 during his time as a manager at the restaurant located on State Route 96.

State Police say he did this through multiple debit card chargebacks, which are normally transaction reversals to customers.

They say he returned the funds to his personal bank account. On top of this, he’s accused of depositing employees paychecks into his own bank account.

Altogether, Demetreau was charged with grand larceny, scheming to defraud and falsifying business records. All of the charges he faces are felonies.
