Felony charge for man accused of selling marijuana in Canandaigua

On March Thursday at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers of the Canandaigua Police Department, with the assistance of the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a 20-year-old after an investigation into marijuana sales.

Zakarie L. Speranza, 20, was charged with criminal sale of marijuana in the second degree.



It’s alleged that he sold marijuana while in Canandaigua. The arrest of Speranza is the result of a co-investigation conducted by the Canandaigua City Police Department and the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office in regards to marijuana sales in the City of Canandaigua, according to authorities.

Speranza was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and ordered to be held in the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $1,000 dollars cash bail or $2,000 bond.
