The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on March 23rd at about 10:30 a.m., investigators arrested three subjects following a welfare fraud investigation.
The following were charged:
Michael P. Burleson, 37, of New Jersey was charged with Welfare Fraud in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony, Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the First Degree Degree, a Class E Felony, and Misuse of Food Stamps, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Richard C. Burleson, 64, of Waterloo was charged with Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
Sandra T. Burleson, 59, of Waterloo was charged with Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
It is alleged that Michael Burleson unlawfully received monetary benefits from Seneca County while actually residing in the State of New Jersey. It is further alleged that Richard and Sandra Burleson allowed this to occur.
All three subjects were released on appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear before the Village of Waterloo Court on April 4th.
