Junior Chris Aslanian and sophomore Justin Scott combined for 11 goals and two assists to lead the Hobart College lacrosse team to a 19-9 win at Canisius College tonight. Aslanian notched a season-high seven points on five goals and two assists, while Scott netted six goals, matching the Statesmen Division I game record for the second time this season.
The Statesmen (4-5) dominated the contest, outshooting the Golden Griffins 46-19. Hobart enjoyed a 34-16 advantage in ground balls and a 24-7 edge in faceoffs. Junior Matthew Pedicine was 22-of-29 at the X and collected a game-high 10 ground balls. First-year Ryan Archer added two goals and an assist, junior Bryan Hancock scored twice and junior Stanny Gilbertson chipped in a goal and an assist. Junior Gerald Flood, sophomore Eric Holden and first-year Tommy Mott accounted for the other three Hobart goals.
