Troopers investigate armed robbery at parking lot of Sodus Family Dollar

New York State Police are investigating a robbery that took place in a Sodus parking lot Monday.

Troopers say a man approached a woman in the parking lot of the Family Dollar on West Main Street around 12:30 p.m with a gun. They say the suspect stole cash from the victim.

The suspect is said to be a male between the ages of 50 and 60, about 5’10” with a thin build. He is also said to have facial hair which was partially gray. He was said to be wearing a navy-blue sweatshirt with a dark gray vest. Troopers say he left the scene in a small, dark blue vehicle with a gold New York State license plate.
