On Monday around 2:08 p.m. firefighters from Manchester and Shortsville fire departments were dispatched to a house fire at Lime Stone Estates Mobile Home Park located at 3718 Route 96 in Manchester.
Neighbors had reportedly discovered fire at the mobile home and called 911. Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy fire from a home with extension involving two neighboring structures.
Officials say that the Manchester Fire Department was assisted on-scene by Shortsville and Clifton Springs Fire Departments, as well as Shortsville Ambulance.
The fire was placed under control around 2:40 p.m., according to Manchester fire officials.
Two adult occupants live at the home and were not injured. One adult male, and pet dog exited the home prior to the arrival of fire personnel. No injuries were reported to firefighters, according to officials.
The home was insured, according to officials — who said that the two occupants had individual insurance on the property inside as well. The residential structure was heavily damaged and unable to be occupied due to the fire.
Firefighters were able to limit the damage to the two neighboring homes.
The fire remains under investigation by the Manchester Fire Department and Ontario County Fire Coordinator. Preliminary results indicate that the fire originated on the front porch and spread to the home.
