Farmington church collects food items for families in need this Easter

100 local families in need will be able to have an Easter dinner, thanks to the kindness of strangers.

Farmington United Methodist church collected several food items throughout lent including hams, potatoes, rolls, apples and desserts.

They gave those items away on Palm Sunday.

“We want to give all year long. It’s part of our faith,” said the church’s pastor Jeff Long.

“We want to make a difference in the lives of our people. Of course this is a holiday season and we want people to be able to have a holiday meal,” Long added.
