Hobart College sophomore goalie Sam Lucchesi made a career-high 18 saves, but visiting Saint Joseph’s University eked out a 6-5 win over the Statesmen on Boswell Field Saturday.
The game was dominated by defense with Lucchesi, making several saves on point-blank shots. At the other end of the field, the Hawks’ first-year Mike Adler logged 15 saves.
SJU senior Chris Blewitt led all scorers with three goals and an assist. Senior Will McNamara and senior Mike Rastivo each contributed two points.
