Police are investigating after a student found a bullet outside Auburn High School, Auburn Enlarged City School District Superintendent Jeff Pirozzolo said.
According to Pirozzolo, at around 7 a.m. Thursday, a student was walking into the high school when she saw a bullet on the ground outside. Pirozzolo said she immediately told a school resource officer, who did a thorough sweep of the area and examined surveillance footage at the school.

He noted that school was in session Thursday, and he issued a call out to parents shortly after the incident was reported.
