Sheriff: Auburn man had sexual contact with teen at Varick treatment facility

Investigators with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 28-year-old Auburn man after alleged sexual abuse.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Corey A. Jones, 28, was charged with two counts of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

The charges stem from an alleged relationship and sexual contact that Jones had with a 16-year-old female while he was working as her teacher.

The incidents are alleged to have happened at a residential treatment facility in Varick.

Jones was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Varick Town Court.

The New York State Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs assisted in the case.
