The intersection of Prospect Street and Franklin Street in Auburn will be temporarily closed from Monday, April 2 to Thursday, April 5 for utility repairs.
According to a press release from the city, the purpose of the closure is to replace a water main pipe that is 6 inches in diameter and nearly 40 feet long that runs under the intersection. The scope of the project includes installation of a new water main, complete excavation of the old pipe and reconstruction/repair of the road surface.
No vehicular traffic will be allowed through the intersection during the closure.
