Police: Auburn man harassed protected party during domestic incident

A 31-year-old Auburn man is facing multiple criminal charges after a domestic incident Wednesday night.

The Auburn Police Department said Jody P. Gallup Jr., of Auburn violated an order of protection against a female, harassing her in the presence of a 3-year-old child around 11:30 p.m. When the woman attempted to call for help, police said Gallup Jr. took a phone from her and restrained her in a bedroom.

Police said the woman did not sustain any major injuries. Gallup Jr. was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony and second-degree harassment, a violation. He was also charged with multiple class A misdemeanors including fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
