The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says a Rochester driver faces numerous charges after causing an accident in Canandaigua due to running a red light, and driving under the influence of drugs.
Deputies say they were called to the intersection of State Route 332 and Canandaigua-Farmington Townline Road for a personal injury accident on St. Patrick’s Day around 12:16 p.m.
As result of the investigation, it was determined that Keith S. Dobles, 28, of Rochester was driving his vehicle under the influence of drugs. Dobles had rear-ended a vehicle that was stopped at the intersection.
He was ticketed for unreasonable speed, following too closely, passing a red light, and unlicensed operation. Dobles was also arrested for driving under the influence of drugs with two children in the vehicle and driving under the influence of drugs.
All of the charges will be answered in Farmington Town Court at a later date.
Deputies say the two children involved were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Canandaigua Ambulance. One of the kids suffered a laceration on his lip and internal swelling to his stomach.
Meanwhile, the operator of the Jeep was also transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with bleeding of the brain and a possible back injury.
All involved were wearing seatbelts, according to deputies.
