Wegmans has the second-best corporate reputation, according to a poll monitoring the top 100 most visible companies.
That was the finding of a Harris poll that received feedback from thousands of U.S. adults about the 100 companies' social responsibility, emotional appeal, products and services, vision and leadership, financial performance and workplace environment.
Wegmans led the way when it came to the workplace environment category and was the only company to rank in the top-5 for all six categories. Wegmans trailed only Amazon.com for overall reputation.
“We are so thankful for our employees, who make it possible for Wegmans to be recognized in this way,” Colleen Wegman said in a release. “They make us proud and very grateful for the reputation they have earned on our behalf.”
The rest of the top-5 companies behind Amazon.com and Wegmans were Tesla Motors, Chick-fil-A and The Walt Disney Company.
