Sheriff: Waterloo sex offender failed to update his registry with NYS

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce says a 56-year-old Waterloo man was arrested after violating New York State Corrections Law pertaining to sex offenders.

Robert J. Law, 56, of Waterloo is a registered Level 3 Sex Offender and is required to update his photograph with the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office on an annual basis.

Law was due to update his photo by March 1st, 2018 — and failed to do so, according to Luce. As result, investigators obtained a warrant for his arrest, and was taken into custody.

He was arraigned in Fayette Town Court and released.

Law is due back in court on March 16th for further court action.
