Police are searching for a suspect, who is accused of forcefully throwing a female victim to the ground — sexually assaulting her in the 200 block of Linden Avenue in Ithaca.
Police say the female victim was able to fight off her attacker, but he fled the scene.
The suspect is described as a white male between 20 and 30 years old. Police say the suspect is of average build, with light brown hair, and was wearing a black coat at the time of the incident.
Ithaca Police were assisted by Cornell University Police. It’s an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information is urged to call IPD at (607) 272-3245.
