A Cornell University student was assaulted early Saturday by a suspect who also used racial slurs toward him during the incident, according to police.
The university’s police officers were called around 1:30 a.m. to a fight at the intersection of Eddy Street and Dryden Road. Police said the suspect directed racial slurs at the male student and two more Cornell students tried to stop the assault, but were attacked themselves.
Two victims were treated at Cayuga Medical Center and a third victim did not require transport, according to Cornell police.
Officers were unable to locate the suspect, who was last seen heading south on Eddy Street.
