Cole Williams scored four times to spark Johns Hopkins to a 18-7 rout of Syracuse on Saturday in the Carrier Dome.
Kyle Marr, Alex Concannon and Connor DeSimone each scored three times for the No. 15 Blue Jays, who improved to 3-2. Jamie Trimboli tallied three times for No. 7 SU, which dropped to 3-2. The visitors dominated in shots (46-25) and faceoffs (18-28). The Blue Jays’ Hunter Moreland was 17-of-26 on faceoffs, compared to 9-of-22 for the Orange’s Danny Varello. Syracuse’s Dom Madonna and the Blue Jays’ Brock Turnbaugh each made 10 saves for their teams.
