Port Byron parents still upset with school leaders

Parents in Port Byron say Tuesday was another example of what they believe is a lack of communication between school leaders and parents.

Two weeks ago, parents rallied, concerned about how school leaders handled the situation where a 12-year-old student was arrested after police said the student posted threats on social media.

Parents say the district isn’t notifying them quick enough when there is a safety concern.

“I don’t think any parent has felt threatened as we have in the past you know two or three weeks with this,” Emily Laframboise said.

Emily and Michael Laframboise said they first found out about Tuesday’s threat through other parents, and they heard from their kids that police were at the school.
